Green Rivers, Green Shirts..... Must Be St. Patty's Day!

I have not made a post in a little while, so here is my update.

The first part of my spring break I went to Chicago to visit Anisha, and I also met Dan's mom and stepdad who live in Lakemoore IL. It was a great weekend!

Here are some images from the weekend:

This past weekend Emily and I ran the Get Lucky 7K in Minneapolis for St. Patricks day. I was sick and still had the tendonitis in my foot, but made it to the end. Here are some images of the day:

I have realized that I have not been chasing my nephews around with a camera recently, so the other day i took care of them while my sister ran some errands, and documented the afternoon....

Andrew, the 4 year old, had some cleaning to get done....

"Julie, You have to be prepaired," he said...

This is Boomer, their cat with attitude... I think he is suffering with some sort of bipolarism... No really! One moment he is rubbing up next to you and the next he goes on the attack...

This is Chris, the 2 year old. Time to color!

The following were taken Valentines day weekend when I came over for brunch:

Some tulips that Jeff bought Heather for Valentines! They were beautiful!

Loading up the truck!

I love that little face!

Happy Valentines Day!

Yet another reason to drive carefully...

As the snow continues to fall here in Minnesnowta It also increases the number of accidents on the road. Luckily (knock on wood), I have never been in an accident. The repairs would probably cost more than my car is actually worth. Oh how I love my little '96 Saturn SL2! This also got me wondering about the people who drive around in their very expensive flashy cars that end up getting towed away. How much does that cost to fix? I googled the most expensive car chrash, and this is what I found:
This beautiful car is a 1962-64 Ferrari 250 GTO. So how much did this cost the owner? $28.5 million!!!! OUCH! Apparently, the owner bought it at auction, drove it to an exotic car show, and on the way home rear-ended another car. I don't know about you, but if I had a 28.5 million car, I would be extremely careful when driving it around town.... But that's just me....

The Singing Man

I was at the coffee shop earlier today when the guy sitting next to me broke out into song for about 15 seconds. It caused me to almost jump out of my seat and wet myself (unexpected events seem to have that effect on me). Sitting next to this singing stranger made me feel as if I was partakeing in a Rogers and Hammerstein production, and that I should have gotten up and danced... Or something to that effect... My "dancing" is much like Elaine from the show Seinfeld.... When I mentioned this to a friend, she wondered if it was something like Improve Everywhere. I Googled it and it is a group of people based in New York that will randomly preform improv in public areas. You Tube it! It's great!

I thought this was humorous.... It reminds me what it felt like earlier while waiting for the bus outside in sub zero temperatures.

Yesturday I broke out the cross country skis for the first time this season, and headed out to Elm Creek with some friends. I was surprised at how good I felt.... Very little huffing and puffing involved. It was a bit windy in some areas, but overall a great day to be outside skiing. Afterwards, we headed into the chalet for some jam filled scones that I had made that morning. To my surprise, they were still warm even while sitting in my 10 degree car!

To celebrate how great I felt after skiing for the first time in months, I decided to take Charlie out for a run.... I don't know what I was thinking. This morning I woke up and found out that yes, i am infact out of shape. My hipflexors were screaming! I guess I shouldn't have been so ambicious after all.

I am happy to say that I am writing this on my laptop! Yippee! After weeks of not having it around, I realized how much I use this thing. It is well worth investing in a 3 year warranty if i do say so myself. Basically, I got a whole new computer for free. They replaced my screen, battery, keyboard, and mother board. It couldn't have come at a worse time.... Finals are here, and that means my stress level is at sky high levels.
